We can support you with the process of setting a carbon reduction target, net zero goal and developing a carbon reduction strategy.
Once you have evidence that you have implemented reduction initiatives (that have resulted in a reduction of at least 10% of your scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint, on an intensity metric basis), you will be provided with your “SmartCarbonTM Level 3: Acted” logo (e.g. for you to add to your email footer, website or marketing materials).
You can implement your own initiatives, or we can provide support.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Ways to Set a Carbon Management Plan or Develop a Carbon (CO2e) Reduction Strategy” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1619447223367{padding-left: 20px !important;}”]
- Declare a climate emergency and set a strategy to respond (including climate change mitigation and adaptation measures)
- Develop and implement a carbon/energy reduction and management plan
- Implement climate awareness training
- Commission energy audits (e.g. for ESOS and ISO 50001)
- Conduct feasibility studies for the installation of on site renewables (e.g. solar, wind, ground source heat pumps)
- Fitting charge points for electric vehicles
- Installing battery storage options
- Switch to a green tariff option for electricity
- Initiate a Carbon managed supply chain programme
- Purchase carbon offsets (we recommend UN Certified, Gold Standard offsets. e.g. local woodland creation in the UK or a wide range of global options)
- See North East Carbon Partnership as an example project.
