Investors in the Environment (iiE)

Investors in the Environment (iiE) is a national environmental accreditation scheme. It is designed to help organisations save money, reduce their impact on the environment, and get promoted for their green credentials.

Overview:

  • iiE support businesses with environmental management system (EMS) implementation
  • Carbon reporting is a key component of the iiE programme and so the SmartCarbon and iiE approaches are complementary.
  • Open to any business with offices in the UK
  • Businesses work through 3 levels of environmental accreditation (Bronze, Silver, or Green) to gradually introduce or improve environmental performance.
  • The iiE EMS data collection methodology enables each site to collect the relevant resource use data to input into Smart Carbon, in order to calculate greenhouse gas emissions.
