Businesses in Gateshead, and within Gateshead Council’s supply chain can now access a support service to help them play their role in tackling the climate emergency.
The programme is a partnership between Genee (Greening the Economy of the North East of England) and Gateshead Council and is part of the Council’s Net Zero by 2030 strategy. The programme is designed by Genee and offers practical insights, tools and techniques for businesses of all sizes and types.
SmartCarbon is delighted to contribute to this innovative programme with support for workshops on managing and measuring carbon emissions.
Businesses involved in the programme will receive support through a series of free training webinars, virtual clinics, and one-to-one meetings with an environmental consultant.
The hour-long webinars focus on a number of different themes:
8th March 2022, 12pm – 1pm – Climate Change and Gateshead
10th March 2022, 12pm – 1pm – Carbon and Your Footprint
15th March 2022, 12pm – 1pm – Managing your Environment
17th March 2022, 12pm – 1pm – Practical Environmental Management
22nd March 2022, 12pm – 1pm – Practical Ways to Reduce Your Organisations Environmental Impacts
Businesses can sign up for individual webinars or all five, with flexible one-to-one sessions with a Genee consultant available to follow up.
