The SmartCarbon Programme
Our 5-step programme marks important milestones on an organisation’s journey towards Net Zero. These awards demonstrate commitment to the reduction of carbon emissions and build credibility with customers and suppliers.
Level One – Qualified
At least one representative from the participating organisation has completed the 2 day Advanced Carbon Course.
Level Two – Reporting
The organisation has completed a report that meets the principles of the GHG Protocol and includes at least 5 areas of the extended value chain (Scope 3) emissions.
Level Three – Net Zero Ambition
The organisation has set a Net Zero target and made this public.
Level Four – Reducing
The organisation is able to demonstrate at least 3 consecutive years of carbon emissions reductions from the established baseline year.
Level Five – Climate Leader
The organisation is able to demonstrate at least 3 years of absolute carbon emissions reductions, along with specified steps to incorporate climate action within their organisation.
